Durban Super Giants bounced back from their defeat against Joburg Super Kings with a routine five-wicket victory over MI Cape Town.

Batting first, MI Cape Town slipped to 45 for 4 after seven overs following early departures for Dewald Brevis, Ryan Rickelton, Rassie van der Dussen and Sam Curran.
However, a fifth-wicket partnership between Grant Roelofsen (52 off 44) and George Linde (33 off 25) turned their fortunes around, with the pair putting on 60 runs off 48 balls.

Both players fell in the space of two deliveries – Roelofsen was caught by Reece Topley off Jason Holder while Linde was the first victim of Hardus Viljoen (caught Dwaine Pretorius) – and Rashid Khan (14) followed shortly after.
Duan Jansen (7) and Delano Potgieter (25 off 11) added 31 runs off the final 14 balls to help their side beyond the 150-mark.
In reply, the Super Giants lost Quinton de Kock (11) in the fourth over but contributions from Kyle Mayers (34 off 23), Wiaan Mulder (30 off 26) and Heinrich Klaasen (36 off 22) kept them well ahead of the required rate.
Keemo Paul then wrapped up the win in style, blasting 20 runs – including three sixes – off eight deliveries.
Olly Stone picked up four wickets for MI Cape Town, finishing with 4 for 28, while Linde (1 for 20) was the other wicket-taker. However, it was an expensive day for Jofra Archer and Rashid, who conceded a combined 64 runs from six overs.
