Fabian Allen has been ruled out of West Indies' T20 World Cup squad through injury.

The allrounder is suffering from a problem with his right ankle, which was sustained during the Indian Premier League.

Allen has been replaced in the Windies' squad by left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, who had previously been a travelling reserve.

Another left-arm spinner, Gudakesh Motie, has been called up as a reserve.

Motie will now fly to the UAE to link up with the squad following a six-day period of mandatory quarantine and after he has provided the requisite negative Covid-19 tests.
