What's the match?

Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2023 Indian Premier League.

When is it taking place?

The match is scheduled to start at 7.30pm local time (3pm BST) on Thursday, May 18.

Where is the match being played?

The match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Who's got form?

Royal Challengers Bangalore remain in the playoff hunt and start the game two points off the top four, knowing they must win to stay alive in the competition. After successive defeats, they won their last game against Rajasthan Royals but can't afford another misstep.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are merely playing for pride having been from the competition. They sit on eight points and have lost three of their last four.

What's the team news?

Sunrisers have a decision to make over their impact players, with Anmolpreet Singh and T Natarajan used of late. Sanvir Singh's place may also come under threat.

Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga were missing for RCB against the Royals but their injury status remains unknown.

What's the key matchup?

The key matchup looks like to be an all-Indian battle between Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Virat Kohli.

Kumar got a five-wicket haul in his previous game so will be full of confidence and has dismissed Kohli three times across 13 IPL innings. This season, he has claimed six wickets in the powerplay overs.

Plenty of onus will be on Kohli to give RCB a good platform before the power hitters in the middle order arrive at the crease, in order to give them full license to attack.
