England have released Yorkshire's Harry Brook and Lancashire pair Matt Parkinson and Phil Salt for T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston.

The trio are part of the squad for the ongoing one-day international series against India but are yet to feature.

They have therefore been permitted to link up with their counties ahead of the Saturday (July 16) showcase, before returning to the full group for the third ODI at Emirates Old Trafford on Sunday (July 17).

However, the announcement essentially rules out six players from featuring in the blue riband day in the county calendar.

Yorkshire will be without Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and David Willey; Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone will be absent for Lancashire, and Craig Overton is missing for Somerset.

Yorkshire and Lancashire face off in the opening semi-final in the first Roses match in Finals Day history, before Somerset take on Hampshire.

Both winners will meet to determine the Blast champion in the competition's 20th year on the same day.

Brook has been near ever-present for Vikings on their run to the last four, scoring 434 runs at 43.40. Salt has struck 344 runs at 28.66 for Lightning, while leg-spinner Parkinson has claimed eight wickets in 10 outings.

Lancashire will also have Richard Gleeson available fresh from his heroics in the India T20Is.

Vikings skipper Willey had been released to play in the quarter-final win over Surrey but has played in four of England's five white-ball matches this summer. He is due to return to Northamptonshire at the end of this season.

The Headingley club have been forced into a reshuffle ahead of Finals Day, with Dominic Drakes returning as an overseas replacement for Finn Allen who has joined up with New Zealand.
