The England allrounder has been on the sidelines since the end of March after undergoing knee surgery
Chris Woakes has returned to competitive cricket after being selected for Warwickshire 2nd XI to face Worcestershire in the Second XI Championship.
The allrounder underwent knee surgery following England’s red-ball tour of the Caribbean in March and has spent the past three months on the sidelines.

Speaking on Sky Sports during England’s second Test against New Zealand, Woakes said he was aiming to return to action by the end of June but admitted the knee was "causing him the most grief at the moment."
Addressing his future, Woakes added: "I still see myself as an all-format player - I'd like to do that as long as possible. I don't feel like I'm anywhere near the end."
In the four-day match against Worcestershire, Woakes came in to bat at No.4 during the second session on day one (June 27), with his side 35 for 2.
