Where is the match being played?

Every game in the 2021 Caribbean Premier League is being held at Warner Park on St Kitts, in an effort to minimise the Covid-19 risk to the tournament.

Who’s got the form?

Both sides won their opening matches of the 2021 CPL.

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots scored a healthy 175 for 5 with the bat against Barbados Royals before restricting their opponents to 154 for 7 to pick up a 21-run win.

Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated last season's champions Trinbago Knight Riders by nine runs, scoring 142 for 7 to Trinbago's 133 for 9. It was the Knight Riders' first defeat since 2019.

However, when the two sides met in the fifth match of the 2021 CPL, it was St Kitts who maintained their unbeaten start, triumping by eight wickets after chasing down 147 in 18.5 overs.

Who to watch?

Evin Lewis was in electric form for St Kitts in the reverse fixture, scoring 62 runs from 39 balls at the top of the order, including four fours and five sixes. Ranked 76th in the T20 Player Index, the Trinidadian has 1,793 CPL runs to his name in 69 innings and a strike rate of 139.2. He's also scored 396 fours and 335 runs in his T20 career to date, so expect boundaries aplenty.

With the ball, keep an eye on Dominic Drakes. The 23-year-old medium-fast pacer will likely be something of an unknown to fans outside of the Caribbean, having made just 10 T20 appearances in his short career. However, he has taken five wickets in his opening two matches this season, including figures of 3 for 26 when the two sides met on August 28.

For Guyana Amazon Warriors, Nicholas Pooran has the ability to change an innings. The wicketkeeper is also an explosive batsman, coming in at number seven in his previous outing and striking 23 runs from just 10 balls. However, after watching his top five score a combined 59 runs against St Kitts, he may bump himself up the order to give his side an explosive edge.
