Where is the match being played?

Every game in the 2021 Caribbean Premier League is being held at Warner Park on St Kitts, in an effort to minimise the Covid-19 risk to the tournament.

Who’s got the form?

Jamaica Tallawahs demolished St Lucia Kings in their tournament opener, posting a huge 255 for 5 off their 20 overs - the second highest total in CPL history. They then bowled the Kings out for 135 inside 17.3 overs to seal a huge 120-run win.

Barbados Royals, however, have had a disappointing start to their CPL campaign, losing their first two matches. Against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, the Royals lost by 21 runs, posting 154 for 7 in reply to 175 for 5. 24 hours later, Jason Holder's side were bowled out for 122 in 19.2 overs by Trinbago Knight Riders, a total their opponents chased down in 16.5 overs.

Who to watch?

There can be little arguing that Andre Russell is the star in the Tallawahs squad. The 33-year-old, who is ranked fourth in the T20 Player Index, scored a 14-ball half-century as his side scored a huge 85 runs off the final five overs. It's not the first time Russell has scored a 14-ball 50 - he also bagged one for Colombo Kings in last year's Lanka Premier League - and with a career T20 strike rate of 170.37, it won't be the last match-defining knock to come from his bat.

That being said, there was no shortage of runs from the Tallawahs top order prior to his introduction. Each of the top four had a strike rate in excess of 140 while Rovman Powell was the lowest scorer among the top five with 38 (26 balls).

For Barbados Royals, young Azam Khan showcased his wrecking ball skills against St Kitts & Nevis, scoring 28 runs from 16 balls to finish the match as his side's second-highest run-scorer. The 23-year-old has previous in this department, smashing a 43-ball 88 in Pakistan's National T20 Cup before scoring 174 runs at a strike rate of 133.84 for Quetta Gladiators in the PSL. His 18 four and 7 sixes were bettered only by top order batter Sarfaraz Ahmed among the Quetta squad.

29-year-old Mohammad Amir is the player to watch with the ball. The left-arm pacer got off to a strong start in his CPL debut, recording figures of 1 for 20 and being hit for just one boundary on a day which saw 19 hit.
