CPL 2021 to take place in St Kitts & Nevis from August 28

The ninth edition of the six-team tournament has been confirmed to return and will be staged at a single venue

The Caribbean Premier League will be staged in St Kitts and Nevis from August 28 in 2021, tournament organisers have confirmed.

Warner Park will host all 33 matches across the six-team competition.

Last year's event was held in Trinidad and Tobago amid the Covid-19 pandemic and staged at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy and Queen's Park Oval.

A bio-secure bubble was deployed to ensure all teams and support staff were kept safe.

CPL officials will consult with tournament medical advisors, local agencies and the government regarding the provisions for the 2021 tournament.

It is hoped the CPL can build on last year's tremendous success, which delivered a record audience of over 500 million across television, streaming and digital viewership.

"We are delighted to be able to announce that we will be having the Hero CPL in St Kitts & Nevis in 2021 and we would like to thank those involved in welcoming the tournament to this wonderful country," said CPL co-founder Pete Russell

"As was demonstrated during the 2020 tournament the CPL is a massive boost for the host country with US$51.5million delivered in sponsorship value for Trinidad & Tobago. We are really looking forward to giving St Kitts & Nevis the exposure they deserve."
