The previous high score in the 2nd XI Championship was 322, set by Marcus Trescothick for Somerset against Warwickshire in July 1997.

Bean, who is not contracted by Yorkshire, has only made one other Championship appearance this season, scoring 36 runs across two innings for Warwickshire’s 2nd XI against Lancashire.

The former England Under-19 international, who represented Yorkshire at age-group level, has also scored 178 runs at a strike rate of 122.75 in six Second XI T20 appearances this season.
