Nick Selman leaves Glamorgan to return to Australia

Selman joined Glamorgan in 2016, making 61 first-class appearances, 24 T20 appearances and 19 List A appearances, and was a member of the club's 2021 Royal London Cup-winning squad

Nick Selman has left Glamorgan to return home to Australia.

The 25-year-old batter joined the club in 2016 and went on to make 61 first-class appearances, scoring 2,863 runs and seven centuries.

He also made 24 T20 appearances and 19 List A appearances, including being a member of Glamorgan’s 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup-winning squad. Selman was ever-present for Glamorgan in the competition, scoring a team-leading 421 runs.  

Reflecting on his time in Wales, Selman said: "I’ve enjoyed my time at Glamorgan and am thankful for the opportunities I’ve had at the club.

"The last few years have been difficult being away from friends and family in Australia and I feel now is a good time to take a step back and reassess what my next steps are from a personal and professional perspective."

Director of cricket, Mark Wallace, added: "I would like to thank Nick for his efforts since joining the club.

"He played an important part in our Royal London Cup triumph and has made significant contributions to Glamorgan on and off the field during his time here. Everyone at the club wishes him the best for the future."
