Joe Clarke and Tom Kohler-Cadmore are to face a Cricket Disciplinary Commission hearing after being charged with bringing the game into disrepute.
Nottinghamshire batsman Clarke and his former Worcestershire teammate Kohler-Cadmore, who is currently with Yorkshire, are alleged to have breached an ECB directive which states: "No participant may conduct themself in a manner or do any act or omission at any time which may be prejudicial to the interests of cricket or which may bring the ECB, the game of cricket or any cricketer or group of cricketers into disrepute."
The charges relate to the WhatsApp conversation involving Clarke and Kohler-Cadmore, which featured prominently within the rape trial of Alex Hepburn.

Hepburn was sentenced to five years in prison in April after being convicted of oral rape.
The messages exchanged over the social media platform were part of a sexual conquest 'game' and were condemned by the presiding judge in the case as "pathetic".
The CDC - a body which relates independently of the ECB and has the power to fine or suspend individuals - will now listen to the case.
Clarke and Kohler-Cadmore were cut from England Lions' tour of India following the WhatsApp revelations earlier this year, with ESPNcricinfo later reporting that they would not be considered for any form of international selection for the immediate future.
