Captain Pant, treble tilt and CSK revival... IPL 2021 Things to Watch
Chennai Super Kings have signed Australia fast bowler Jason Behrendorff ahead of the start of their Indian Premier League campaign.
Behrendorff will replace fellow countryman Josh Hazlewood, who pulled out of this year’s tournament due to bio-bubble fatigue.
This will be the fast bowler’s second IPL tournament, having played for the Mumbai Indians in 2019 when he picked up five wickets in as many matches.
The 30 year-old quick has played in 11 one-day internationals and seven T20 Internationals for Australia and has represented Perth Scorchers in six seasons of the Big Bash League.
On Sunday (April 11), he will make up part of the Western Australia side bidding to win the 50-over Marsh Cup against New South Wales.
CSK kick-off their campaign against Delhi Capitals on April 10 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
