The seamer was reportedly sent home following allegations of serious misbehaviour with a female guest at a Southampton hotel
Afghanistan have suspended bowler Aftab Alam for 12 months following his removal from their World Cup squad during the tournament.
The 26-year-old was sent home in disgrace under "exceptional circumstances" according to the ICC which later emerged as serious misbehaviour with a female guest at a Southampton hotel.
Aftab played just three times for Afghanistan during their campaign, against New Zealand, South Africa and India before the announcement of his removal on June 27.

It is after the loss to India when the incident is alleged to have taken place, after which Aftab failed to attend an ICC anti-corruption unit meeting - leading to a two-game suspension.
He caused discourse earlier in the tournament when he turned up unannounced at the India v Pakistan group game at Old Trafford where he demanded entry for himself and a group of friends.
After gaining entry to one hospitality suite with the group he had to be removed by security.
