Surrey have announced that they have re-signed Dean Elgar as an overseas player for the 2019 season.
Elgar is currently captaining South Africa in their third Test against Pakistan at Johannesburg.
He was initially signed as a replacement for Australia's Mitchell Marsh, who was ruled out for the year by injury.
In his second spell in South London, Elgar proved a valuable part of Surrey's County Championship winning side as he scored 487 runs at 38.7, including a century.

He will join the side in late April, and will be available for thirteen of Surrey's fourteen Championship matches. He may miss games, however, due to international commitments.
Alec Stewart, Surrey Director of Cricket, said: "I'm very pleased to have re-signed Dean as our overseas player for the 2019 season.
"To have a top-quality player, who knows our set up was important and we look forward to him showing off his skills this summer."
