Former ICC President Ehsan Mani is the PCB's new chairman
Former ICC President Ehsan Mani has been elected chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unopposed, succeeding outgoing chairman Najam Sethi.
Mani, who was tipped for the position, takes charge with immediate effect on a three-year term and the 73-year-old chaired his first meeting shortly after being elected.
Mani spent many years working with the ICC in some capacity.
To begin with, he worked as the PCB’s representative at the ICC before serving as the ICC’s finance and marketing committee director.
Following this, Mani spent three years, between 2003 and 2006, serving as ICC president.
The PCB tweeted: "Mr. Ehsan Mani has been elected Chairman PCB by the Board of Governors (BoG.) Mr. Mani was elected unopposed in the BoG meeting convened at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore today for a period of three years.”
