Fast bowler Mark Footitt has left Nottinghamshire following a two-year stint with the county.
The 33-year-old made four first team appearances after joining the club from Surrey in July 2017, having previously made his name at Derbyshire after beginning his career at Trent Bridge.
“Mark has been a whole-hearted professional since returning to the Club,” said Nottinghamshire's director of cricket, Mick Newell.
“He’s conducted himself well off-the-field and has thrown himself into being one of the more experienced professionals whilst playing second team cricket.”
Footitt began his first-class career with Nottinghamshire, making 10 appearances for the first team between 2005 and 2009 before joining Derbyshire. There, his left-arm pace saw him selected by England in a 14-man Ashes squad in 2015, though he never made an appearance for his country.
“As a Nottinghamshire boy and someone who came through our system, we are proud of what Mark has achieved in the game during his career so far,” added Newell.
“We would have liked to see that continue back on his home turf at Trent Bridge, but that wasn’t to be. We wish Mark all the very best for the future.”
