David Warner (Sunrisers Hyderabad): The Australian made it four half-centuries in a row with scores of 50 and 67 in successive wins for the Sunrisers. Often overshadowed by his opening partner, Warner took the lead against the formidable Chennai Super Kings with a 25-ball onslaught including 10 fours.

Quinton de Kock (Mumbai Indians): Three matches gave the South Africa ample opportunity to impress at the top of the order and he took full advantage. Individually, his most impressive knock came in the defeat to the Royals, with 65 coming from just 47 balls. A 40 against RCB - with three dismissals - and a 35 against the Dehli Capitals helped complete an ideal week.

Jonny Bairstow (Sunrisers Hyderabad): Arguably one of the most improved cricketers on the planet in the last 24 months. The Yorkshireman hit an inspired 80 not out in the win over KKR, meaning him and Warner have put on a century for the first wicket four times in this season's IPL.

Steve Smith (Rajasthan Royals): Re-installed as Royals captain after standing down following the ball-tampering affair, Smith produced a fine display in his first game back as captain. Ajinkya Rahane's replacement hit just his second half-century of the competition with his most complete performance yet to give the Australia selectors food for thought.

Nitish Rana (Kolkata Knight Riders): The 25-year-old has endured a rather underwhelming campaign but his knock gave KKR brief hope against Rajasthan. Pursuing an unlikely 214 to win, Rana hit 85 from 46, including nine fours and five sixes alongside the ever-explosive Andre Russell.

Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians): A consistent threat with the bat with scores of 37 not out, 32 and 23 last week for the playoff-bound Mumbai. The second of those knocks was the most decisive, with the 15-ball innings including three sixes giving his side breathing space ahead of the Capitals' chase - which fell 40 runs short.

IPL HUB

Moeen Ali (Royal Challengers Bangalore): Successive half centuries which included 11 sixes across both innings highlighted Ali's effortless power-hitting as RCB won back-to-back matches. Overshadowed on both occasions by AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli he also took the wickets of Mumbai opener De Kock and Rohit Sharma to stall their pursuit of victory.

Jofra Archer (Rajasthan Royals): On the eve of his maiden England call-up Archer produced his best bowling display of the IPL with 3-15 against Kings XI. That included the wicket of Chris Gayle, while Nicholas Pooran and Mandeep Singh also succumbed in an effort which included 15 dot balls. Such heroics could be priceless in the World Cup.

Ravichandran Ashwin (Kings XI Punjab): In that same game, Ashwin gave Kings XI the momentum with a handy 17 at a strike-rate of 425. With the ball, he was typically potent with 2-24 including the wickets of half-centurion Rahul Tripathi and Sanju Samson to peg the Royals back.

Khaleel Ahmed (Sunrisers Hyderabad): The 21-year-old has become a key member of the Sunrisers attack, and set-up Bairstow and Warner's charge in the reply against KKR. Figures of 3-33 are not his most impressive of the competition but seeing off Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine and Shubman Gill is by far in a way his most vital contribution.

Lasith Malinga (Mumbai Indians): The evergreen Sri Lankan produced his best display so far with four wickets as Mumbai edged RCB. The 35-year-old tore through the middle-order, ousting the dangerous Ali before he added Akshdeep Nath and Pawan Negi in the final over to give his side the edge heading into the chase.
