The allrounder is due to get married in late March, which clashes with the three ODIs and single T20 in Pakistan, as well as the start of the 10-team franchise competition
Glenn Maxwell will be unavailable for Australia’s white-ball matches in Pakistan and the start of the Indian Premier League as they clash with his upcoming wedding.
The 33-year-old, in the running to succeed Virat Kohli as Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, is due to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Vini Raman at the end of March.
Pakistan host the T20 world champions in three ODIs and a single T20 from March 29 to April 5 - ruling several Aussies out of the start of the IPL, which is expected to begin at the end of next month.
David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Pat Cummins, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Hazlewood, Matthew Wade and Daniel Sams also face being absent from the opening weeks of the 20-over franchise competition.
Cricket Australia only signed off the tour in early February, leading to the clash of dates.
"Originally when I organised the dates with CA there was a two-week gap where I could potentially have it,” said Maxwell.
"So when I sorted that out I was pretty happy that I wasn't going to be missing in any series.
"And then I came to the [CA] contract meeting midway through last year and they said well this is the Pakistan series and I thought well obviously that's changed since the last conversation we had."
