The all-rounder has been out of favour with the national team recently
Ravindra Jadeja gave India a timely reminder of his devastating potential in Twenty20 by striking six sixes in an over in a Rajkot tournament.
Jadeja has been out of favour with the BCCI selectors in recent months but showed he still has the capacity to cause serious damage by taking 36 off six balls bowled by left-arm medium pacer Nilam Vamja.
The rare feat took place during an Inter-District T20 competition organised by the Saurashtra Cricket Association.
Jadeja finished a remarkable innings with 154 runs from 69 balls for Jamnagar as they posted 239 for six from their 20 overs against Amreli.
He hit 10 sixes and 15 further boundaries.
The luckless Vamja ended up going for 48 runs from his two overs.
In reply, Amreli could only manage 118 for five to lose by 121 runs.
Jadeja has not featured for either the India one-day international or T20 sides for five months. His most recent appearances came on the tour of the West Indies in July.
