Former Australian cricketer Kerry O’Keeffe’s repeatedly offensive comments about Indian cricket appear to have gone down so badly that his commentary will now be cut out, as reported by the Mumbai Mirror.
O’Keeffe has a made a number of remarks about the touring side which have not been well-received, which has apparently led Indian broadcaster Sony to cut his commentary out when he is on air.
The current arrangement is that Sony use 30 minutes of their own commentary from their studios in Mumbai, and then take commentary from Australian broadcaster Fox for the next half an hour.

“We cannot have someone making snide remarks about Indian players,” a source close to the story supposedly told the Mumbai Mirror.
O’Keeffe was forced to apologise after he remarked during the third Test at Melbourne that Mayank Agarwal’s triple-century in the Ranji Trophy came against “Jalanadhar Railway canteen staff”.
He later asked “why would you name your kid Cheteshwar Jadeja?”, after failing to pronounce either player’s name correctly.
