England allrounder Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes has been ruled out of England's one-day international against Scotland and the early part of the series against Australia.

The allrounder, who suffered a torn hamstring in the build-up to the second Test match against Pakistan at Headingley this week, has been withdrawn from the squad to take on the Scots next weekend.

He has been replaced by Dawid Malan for the match on June 10 and will return to his county side Durham on Monday to continue his rehabilitation.

Stokes will be assessed later next week.

Meanwhile, the ECB say that he will certainly miss the first game against Australia at the Kia Oval on June 13.

Sam Billings of Kent has been added to the squad for the five-match series against the Aussies.
