England have installed Sam Billings as their vice-captain for the T20 series against New Zealand.
The Kent wicket-keeper-batsman will work alongside skipper Eoin Morgan across the five matches which begin on November 1.
Billings has only played 21 T20s for England but the decision highlights the faith the management have in his ability.
He has not represented his country since facing the West Indies in March with much of his season derailed by a serious shoulder injury.

Though now back in the international fold ahead of next year's World T20, it remains to be seen whether the 28-year-old will be selected to take the gloves against the Kiwis.
Jonny Bairstow and the uncapped Tom Banton are also in the relatively experimental squad for the tour and may also be considered.
Banton, Saqib Mahmood, Matt Parkinson, Lewis Gregory and Pat Brown could all make their England bows during the November tour having been handed their maiden call-ups.
