Teams, TV times, fixtures and more ahead of the third edition of the Hong Kong Blitz, which gets under way this week
The Hong Kong Blitz is back
The third edition of the Hong Kong Blitz takes place this week, with plenty of familiar names in action during the T20 tournament.
So what is it all about, who exactly is involved and how can you watch it at home?
Luckily, The Cricketer has all the answers.
Pay attention, we’ve covered that already. It’s the Hong Kong Blitz.
No dummy, it’s a franchise T20 tournament which takes place in… have you guessed yet… Hong Kong.
The action gets under way on Tuesday, February 6 and lasts for six days, with the final due to take place on Sunday, February 11.
The games will be staged at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Mong Kok.

The competition is made up of five teams, each fairly randomly named. They are: Galaxy Gladiators Lantau, HKI United, City KaiTak, Kowloon Cantons and Hung Hom JD Jaguars.
Well, there are a lot of names you’d expect to see in T20 tournaments such as this - Darren Sammy, Samuel Badree et al - with Kumar Sangakarra the highest profile of the lot. Jofra Archer was due to take part before pulling out late on.

A round-robin group stage, where everyone plays everyone else once, precedes a final.
Each team are allowed six overseas players, five of which can play in each game. One must come from an ICC Associate nations - there are representatives from the Netherlands, Singapore and Scotland in this year’s event.
The remainder of the squad of 16 is made up from Hong Kong's domestic talent.

BT Sport have the broadcasting rights for the whole thing for UK viewers.
Fox Sports (Australia), OSN (Middle East), Neo Sports (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh), ESPN Caribbean and StarTimes (Africa) have the rights elsewhere in the world.
There is also a live stream available via the Hong Kong YouTube and Facebook channels.
Out in Hong Kong, the matches are scheduled for two time slots - 10am and 2pm. Working in good old time difference, that makes the start times 2am and 6am for all of us over here in the UK.
