West Indies have included three members of their recent Under-19 World Cup squad in the 15-woman party bound for South Africa for the Women's T20 World Cup.

Zaida James, Trishan Holder and Djenaba Joseph have all been picked for the trip.

Stafanie Taylor, the most experienced member of the national setup, has been included but still needs to prove her fitness following injury.

"For now it's just about the physio and medical people and the coaches managing the load with Stafanie," the captain, Hayley Matthews, said of Taylor last week. "The T20 World Cup is the main picture for us here in South Africa and we want to try and manage her as best as possible and have her fit and ready for the World Cup."

West Indies have been drawn in the same group as England, India, Pakistan and Ireland.

Their first game of the tournament is against England, in Paarl, on February 13.
