Former England batter Greenway will work under Charlotte Edwards, her long-time England captain, in the role
Former England batter Lydia Greenway will be part of Mumbai Indians' coaching staff for the inaugural Women's Premier League.
Greenway, who represented England on 225 occasions as a player, will form part of the backroom team under her long-time teammate and captain, Charlotte Edwards, who has been confirmed as Mumbai's head coach for the tournament, the auction for which takes place on Monday.
Greenway, an in-demand broadcaster these days and one of the women's game's most respected figures, coached in last year's FairBreak Invitational with the Barmy Army team and was at one point pencilled in to lead Oval Invincibles in the first year of The Hundred, before opting out.
Despite a busy calendar, she has previously spoken about wanting to do more coaching where possible.

Her appointment adds to the tournament's already English flavour: Edwards is one of three English head coaches, alongside Jonathan Batty at Delhi Capitals and England head coach Jon Lewis at Lucknow.
England are expected to be well represented in the competition; Sophie Ecclestone, Danni Wyatt, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Katherine Sciver-Brunt have all entered at the maximum reserve. In all, 27 English players have made the cut to the final auction list.
Former England head coach Lisa Keightley has been named as Batty's assistant.
