The England man scored a half-century earlier in the day - but his heroics did not stop there as he produced a breathtaking grab to dismiss Andile Phehlukwayo
Ben Stokes pulled off a sublime piece of fielding to brilliantly dismiss Andile Phehlukwayo in England's World Cup opener against South Africa at The Oval.
The allrounder, standing just off the boundary rope, turned and produced a fine one-handed grab to send his South African counterpart back in the hutch.
Moeen Ali's delivery looked destined to go for six until the Durham man stuck out a paw to take one of the great catches in the long history of international cricket.
