Pakistan’s crucial World Cup match with Afghanistan was marred by clashes between fans.

The problems began before the game got underway, with a few people attempting to enter Headingley by climbing a wall.

According to journalist Faizan Lakhani, some fans then occupied seats without tickets. He also stated that security members were forced to eject some fans from the stadium, with clashes also breaking out in the Carnegie Pavilion Stand.

Another reporter added that, while filming one melee as it continued outside the venue, he was then pushed and manhandled by supporters.

This all occurred while Afghanistan were batting first after winning the toss at Yorkshire’s home ground.

The fan trouble continued after Pakistan had chased down the 228 runs needed to win the game, with the players allegedly being rushed off the field upon the game's conclusion.
