West Indies Women will visit Pakistan for three T20Is without their captain Stafanie Taylor.

Taylor has opted out of the Karachi leg of the trip, which also includes a one-day international series in Dubai, due to security concerns.

Windies will be led by Merissa Aguilleira, the former skipper, in the shortest format.

“This tour is a further major step for our friends at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to bring their cricket back home,” Cricket West Indies chief executive Johnny Grave said.

WINDIES WOMEN SQUAD
Stafanie Taylor (ODIs only), Merissa Aguilleira, Shemaine Campbelle, Shamilia Connell, Deandra Dottin, Afy Fletcher, Chinelle Henry, Kycia Knight, Natasha McClean, Anisa Mohammed, Chedean Nation, Karishma Ramharack, Shakera Selman, Rashada Williams

PCB chief operating officer Subhan Ahmad said: “On behalf of the PCB, I would like to say that we are confident that this tour will go a long way in the complete revival of international cricket in Pakistan.”

The trip will be the second made by a West Indies team to Pakistan in less than a year, following the senior men's side's tour in April of last year.

Pakistan has hosted very little international cricket over the course of the past decade, following a gun attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009.

Windies are due to arrive for a training camp in Dubai on January 26 before heading on to Karachi on January 30. The first T20I is scheduled for January 31.
