Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has placed the country under a number of restrictions after a 20-year-old and their mother tested positive for coronavirus.
Auckland will go into an alert level 3 lockdown for seven days from 6 am local time on Sunday (February 28).
Locals are only permitted to leave home for work and to shop for essential items.
The rest of the country has been placed under level 2, which limits public gatherings.
Though England women are free to complete the white-ball tour of New Zealand, the remaining four matches will be played behind closed doors.

Wellington will now host the first and second T20 on March 3 and 5, with Mount Maunganui the venue for the final match of the tour. New Zealand Cricket are awaiting government advice over whether crowds will be permitted.
The clashes will still be played alongside the final three games of the five-match T20 series between New Zealand and Australia men's side, but fans will not be permitted to attend.
Additionally, all matches that remain in the Ford Trophy must be played behind closed doors.
