Cricket South Africa have filled the spots on their women's central-contract list left behind by the retired Dane van Niekerk, Trisha Chetty and Lizelle Lee.

Allrounders Anneke Bosch, Delmi Tucker and Nadine de Klerk, who returns to the list for the first time since 2021/22, are the beneficiaries.

Lee quit the international stage last summer following a failed fitness test and the withdrawal of her no-objection certificate (NOC) by CSA, which would have prevented her from playing in The Hundred and the WBBL. She is not involved in the WPL but played for Tasmania in Australia's domestic competition over the winter.

Meanwhile, former Proteas captain van Niekerk last played international cricket in 2021, with her omission from the T20 World Cup squad played out in public after she narrowly missed the requirements in a two-kilometre time trial after battling back from a longstanding ankle problem.

She was present at the tournament as part of the ICC's punditry team and recently announced her international retirement.

The Cricketer reported last week that she is set to join Sunrisers in England's regional system as an overseas player for the Charlotte Edwards Cup.

Chetty ended her international career last Friday, the most prolific wicketkeeper in women's ODIs by a distance with 182 dismissals. She has been displaced behind the stumps for South Africa by Sinalo Jafta, who was a key figure in her country's run to the T20 World Cup final last month.

"After an incredibly inspirational display at the T20 World Cup in February this year, we are really excited about the make-up of this squad and the next evolutional step this crop of players will take next season and for years to come, as the Proteas Women continue to compete at the highest level in world cricket," said CSA chief executive Pholetsi Moseki.

Bosch and de Klerk, both seam-bowling allrounders, both featured in the final, while Tucker also played during the campaign. Annerie Dercksen is the only member of the T20 World Cup squad not on the central-contract list.

South Africa contracted list: Anneke Bosch, Tazmin Brits, Nadine de Klerk, Lara Goodall, Shabnim Ismail, Sinalo Jafta, Marizanne Kapp, Ayabonga Khaka, Masabata Klaas, Sune Luus, Nonkululeko Mlaba, Tumi Sekhukhune, Chloe Tryon, Delmi Tucker,  Laura Wolvaardt
