The trip, comprising three T20Is and a single Test, will be split across the Wankhede Stadium and the DY Patil Stadium. It has been 18 years since India hosted England for a women's Test

Heather Knight's England are bound for India in December for a four-match multi-format tour punctuated by a stand-alone Test at the DY Patil Stadium.

The nations will square off in three T20Is at the Wankede Stadium in Mumbai between December 6-10.

But the stand-out element of the trip comes with the stand-alone four-day Test between the sides, the first staged in India since 2005, in Navi Mumbai.

India have played one home Test since then - an innings victory over South Africa in 2014 - with their last seven staged overseas.

England return to India for the first time since 2019, when they won the T20I series 3-0 having been beaten in the ODIs.

A training group will prepare for the matches in Oman, where an England A side will also be stationed ahead of three T20s against India A.

It marks the start of a busy period for India women, who then welcome Australia for one Test, three ODIs and a trio of T20Is between 21 December and January 9.
