Wins for Durham and The Blaze, while Warwickshire left frustrated by rain

Chester-le-Street: Durham 311-3, Essex 288-5 - Durham won by 23 runs

Tahlia Wilson's career best of 152 led Durham to their first win of the season in their One Day Cup clash with Essex.

Durham motored with the bat after winning the toss, with Wilson and Emma Marlow (53) combining for a partnership of 137, a record opening stand for the county. Captain Hollie Armitage (81) then joined Wilson, and they helped their side reach a total of 311 for 3.

Essex started their chase comfortably, with Cordelia Griffith (50) and Grace Scrivens (47) negotiating the opening period expertly. However, a clutter of wickets put Durham in control, and they restricted Essex to 288 for 5, giving them a 23-run win despite a resilient knock from Jodi Grewcock (77).

Trent Bridge: Lancashire 223, The Blaze 148-5 - The Blaze won by six runs (DLS Method)

The Blaze avenged last season's semi-final defeat against Lancashire, prevailing by six runs by the Duckworth-Lewis Stern method in a rain-affected opener to their One Day Cup campaign.

Lancashire, who went on to lift the 2025 trophy, had begun their season with a thumping win over Durham at Chester-le-Street last Saturday but were bowled out for 223 after being asked to bat first at Trent Bridge, despite Emma Lamb's fine 77. The Blaze's left-arm seamer Grace Ballinger took 3 for 30.

Forced off by rain at 91 for 3 in the 21st over of their reply, The Blaze resumed with a revised target of 171 from 32 overs. More rain meant the contest had to be abandoned after 28.3 of those overs, but thanks to Marie Kelly (44) and Orla Prendergast (40), the home side were six ahead of the DLS requirement at that moment.

Edgbaston: Warwickshire 354-7, Hampshire - no result

Warwickshire tasted deep frustration after piling up 354 against Hampshire in the One Day Cup, only for rain to arrive during the interval and wash out the game.

Half-centuries from all the top five powered Warwickshire to 354 for 7, their highest 50-over score, after they were put in by visiting captain Georgia Adams at Edgbaston.

Davina Perrin struck 81 from 76 balls, Charis Pavely 63 not out (38), Katie George 56 (51), Meg Austin 51 (43) and Amu Surenkumar (51).

Hampshire were certainly not out of the game - having pulled off a thrilling run-chase against Essex at Southampton on Saturday, they would have fancied the testing target on a good pitch.

But it was tough on Warwickshire that they were denied a chance to capitalise upon a textbook batting performance.
