West Indies allrounder Andre Russell will take no further part in the World Cup.

Russell, who has been struggling with a knee injury, has been removed from the Windies squad for the remainder of the tournament.

Sunil Ambris comes into the 15-man party in his place.

Russell made four appearances in the competition, but was not involved in the dramatic defeat by New Zealand at Old Trafford on Saturday.

He hit just 36 runs in three innings, and claimed five wickets at an average of 20.20.
