What's the match?

Sydney Sixers take on Perth Scorchers in match 42 of the WBBL; the eighth edition of the tournament.

When is it taking place?

The game is scheduled to start at 10.15am local time (11.15pm GMT on Saturday, November 12) on Sunday, November 13.

Where is the match being played?

The game will be played in Melbourne at the Junction Oval.

Who's got the form?

Both sides are heading into this clash with winning momentum. Sydney Sixers currently sit at the top of the WBBL table, winning seven of their 10 matches to date and completed a routine 45-run over Melbourne Stars on Saturday. Perth Scorchers, meanwhile, lie fourth, with six wins from 11 matches, but ended a two-match losing streak with a crushing 104-run win over Melbourne Renegades.

Worryingly for the Sixers, star batter Beth Mooney is beginning to find some form, blasting two 90-plus knocks in her past four matches. Marizanne Kapp is also a threat with the bat - the South African scored 68 not out off 34 balls against the Renegades - while with the ball, Alana King (15 wickets), Lilly Mills (12 wickets) and Kapp (10 wickets) are all dangerous.

For the Sixers, Ashleigh Gardner is a triple threat, scoring 180 runs at a strike rate of 142.85, taking 18 wickets while maintaining an economy of 5.94, and also chipping in with 10 catches. However, their squad has no shortage of match winners.

When these two sides met earlier in the competition, Perth Scorchers won by nine wickets.

What's the key match-up?

Beth Mooney was the difference between the two sides when they met at Lilac Hill, scoring 99 runs off 58 balls to help her side chase down 156 with nine balls to spare.

The wicketkeeper displayed equally hot form against Melbourne Renegades on Saturday, scoring 90 runs off 58 balls, so will surely be a threat once again at the Junction Oval.

With no one in the Scorchers side matching her in terms of volume of runs and only Kapp scoring at a similarly aggressive rate, removing Mooney early is crucial.

What's the weather forecast?

Rain could be an issue in Melbourne, although some optimistic forecasts are suggesting sunshine could break through at points.

What is the team news?

Stella Campbell came into the Sixers XI to face Melbourne Stars, replacing Jade Allen.
