George Dobell explains why Will Jacks' delivery to remove Steve Smith was his Betfair Moment of the Day

Will Jacks bookended his tour of Australia with beautiful, identical off-breaks: the first removed Joe Root in a warmup game at Lilac Hill; the second clean-bowled Steve Smith at the SCG.

Australia had declined to select a frontline spinner at all, while England opted to retain Jacks over Shoaib Bashir for Sydney. But come the fifth day, with rough outside the right-hander's off-stump, Jacks made perfect usage.

He dismissed Smith with a delivery that pitched on fifth stump and ragged sharply through the stand-in captain's gate, knocking back his middle stump to leave the great Australian batter dumbfounded.
