What's the match?

Trent Rockets host Birmingham Phoenix in the next match of the women's Hundred 2023.

When is it taking place?

The game is due to start at 11am BST on Saturday, August 19.

Where is the match taking place?

Trent Rockets' home ground is Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

Who's got the form?

Trent Rockets are hanging onto the chances of playoff qualification by their fingertips and must win. The Rockets have won twice this term, including a nine-wicket romp over Manchester Originals in their most recent outing. Birmingham Phoenix have been eliminated. They have lost five of their six scheduled matches.

With the bat, Nat Sciver-Brunt leads the way for the Rockets. The England star has 177 runs in the competition at an average of 59, striking at 164. She has been ably supported by Bryony Smith (153 runs at a strike rate of 163). Sophie Devine has been carrying the Birmingham batting, with 159 runs at a strike rate of 137. Amy Jones has shown glimpses of quality, but otherwise Phoenix have been very thin on the ground when it comes to batting. Tess Flintoff's 87 runs have come at a strike rate below 100, and 55 of them arrived in one innings, while captain Eve Jones (51 runs at 104 in four innings) and Erin Burns (49 runs from five knocks) have struggled.

With the ball, both sides have been reliant on spin for wickets. Kirstie Gordon leads the way for Trent Rockets with seven (and an economy rate of 106 runs conceded per 100 balls). Alana King and Smith have each taken four scalps. Katie Levick has seven wickets and a superb economy of 100 for Birmingham, while Hannah Baker has taken six.

What's the key matchup?

Sophie Devine has been relied upon for runs by Birmingham Phoenix. Remove her cheaply, and there has proven to be little substance to the Phoenix batting in 2023. How the New Zealander goes against the pace-off attack of the Rockets will play a major role in determining the outcome of this game.
