Trent Rockets host Southern Brave in the first match of the men's Hundred 2023.
The game is due to start at 6.30pm BST on Tuesday, 1 August.
Trent Rockets' home ground is Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
As this is the first game of the season, form isn't a huge factor for either side. Neither has played any matches for 11 months.
Hosts Trent Rockets had a wonderful season last year, winning the group stage which took them to the final before beating Manchester Originals in a low scoring affair at Lord's.
Southern Brave did not have as much success. Having won the first Hundred in 2021 they faltered in their title defence, winning only three matches and finished second from bottom in the league stage, above only Welsh Fire who lost every match they played.
Trent Rockets have one of the most explosive and experienced opening partnerships in the competition. In Alex Hales and Dawid Malan they boast two batsmen who have been crucial for England's white-ball teams at various points in their career.
Their first runout of The Hundred will be critical in giving the Rockets a fast start, and if Southern Brave's bowlers can get rid of both cheaply, a large dent will have been made in the defending champions' chances.
