Trent Rockets host Northern Superchargers in the next match of the men's Hundred 2023.
The game is due to start at 3pm BST on Wednesday, August 9.
Trent Rockets' home ground is Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
Northern Superchargers are in electric form going into this match after they smashed Southern Brave by 60 runs at the Ageas Bowl on Sunday. The Superchargers put on an excellent display of destructive batting. Tom Banton and Matt Short put together an opening stand of 97, and Short hit 73 from 36 balls. Harry Brook also impressed on his return, making 63 from only 27 balls. Superchargers set a target of 202, and the bowling of Reece Topley, who took three wickets, helped restrict the Brave to just 141.
Trent Rockets, like so many at this year's competition, fell victim to the weather after their match at Edgbaston against Birmingham Phoenix was abandoned on Saturday. In their first game, the Rockets put on a fine display against Southern Brave. Sam Hain was the standout with the bat in contributing 63 from 39 balls, while Lewis Gregory and Daniel Sams made the breakthrough with the ball for the defending champions.
Sunday was a clear indication of the strength of the Northern Superchargers top order, and the importance of breaking them down early before they begin to settle into the innings.
Banton, Short and Brook represent a potent top three, and what happens in the Superchargers' batting powerplay could go a long way to determining the game. That said, a Rockets top three of Dawid Malan, Alex Hales and Tom Kohler-Cadmore is potentially just as devastating.
Hain's remarkable run of form in 2023 makes him a key wicket during the middle and death overs for the visitors.
