What's the match?

Trent Rockets host Birmingham Phoenix in the next match of the men's Hundred 2023.

When is it taking place?

The game is due to start at 2.30pm BST on Saturday, August 19.

Where is the match taking place?

Trent Rockets' home ground is Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

Who's got the form?

Trent Rockets' title defence is teetering. The Rockets have won twice and, with two games left, need victories to keep themselves in the playoff hunt. They were beaten on Thursday (August 17) thanks to the fireworks of Phil Salt, whose 32-ball 86 set the platform for Manchester Originals' 10-run win at Trent Bridge.

Birmingham Phoenix have had a disappointing season, and have just one win from six scheduled games.

With the bat, Colin Munro (155 runs at a strike rate of 156) leads the way for Trent Rockets. Joe Root (125 at 164 and an average over 40) has played a fine supporting hand after joining the squad late. For Birmingham Phoenix, Ben Duckett (119) is the leading scorer. It is noticeable that several prominent England internationals involved in this game - Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali - have all failed to fire.

With the ball, Daniel Sams is the Rockets' leading wicket-taker with seven but his economy rate (170 runs conceded per 100 balls) is expensive. Benny Howell has both the most wickets (6) and the best economy (97) in the Phoenix setup.

What's the key matchup?

In theory, this is the meeting of two power-packed top orders. But the fireworks have not been as regular as you would expect this season. If one man gets away, as was the case with Salt in the Rockets' last game, it can be match-defining. Preventing Hales, Malan, Root, Moeen, Livingstone, Duckett and Smeed from doing that will go a long way to settling the tie.

It's always hard to see past the Rockets at home, but they are misfiring. And at some point this Phoenix lineup is going to explode into life. Away win... and lots of runs.
