Southern Brave host Welsh Fire in the fourth match of the men's Hundred 2023.
The game is due to start at 6.30pm BST on Friday, August 4.
Southern Brave play their home matches at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
Southern Brave lost their first game of the season in a low-scoring affair to last year’s winners Trent Rockets on the opening day. Their bowling attack performed very well, particularly Chris Jordan who took 3 for 18, however, their batting performance was underwhelming, with seven batters failing to make it to double figures.
Welsh Fire on the other hand managed to secure their first win since 2021 in a weather-affected 40-ball game against the Manchester Originals. Luke Wells hit a brilliant and brutal 57 from just 23 balls before Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up wickets with the first two balls of the Originals' chase.
Afridi is the sort of bowler who can tear through a batting lineup. His two wickets off the first two balls against Originals made an already difficult chase almost impossible. However, he also proved to be expensive. His figures were 2 for 2 after four balls before he was hit for 22 off the next six. How well the Brave negotiate his 20 balls could well decide this match.
