Sophia Dunkley and Lauren Bell to miss start of Women's Hundred

All of the other players involved in the Women's Ashes will be available from the first game. The availability of England's Men's Ashes contingent is yet to be confirmed

Sophia Dunkley and Lauren Bell will miss the opening two rounds of the Women's Hundred for their respective sides.

Dunkley will be unavailable for Welsh Fire's matches against Manchester Originals (August 2) and Southern Brave (August 4).

The 25-year-old batter was the third player selected during March's draft, picked up for £31,250. A two-time finalist with Southern Brave prior to her move to Sophia Gardens, she has scored 437 runs at a strike rate above 130 in 17 appearances in The Hundred.

Bell will also miss the Southern Brave-Welsh Fire clash as well as the tournament opener between Brave and Trent Rockets (August 1).

The right-arm quick has 23 wickets in 17 matches for Brave and finished second in the overall wicket-taking charts in 2022.

All of the other players involved in the Women's Ashes will be available for selection from the beginning of the tournament.

The availability of England's Men's Ashes contingent is yet to be confirmed. They will be assessed by England's science and medicine team following the fifth Test at The Oval.

The Test is scheduled to finish on July 31 with Trent Rockets versus Southern Brave kicking off The Hundred 24 hours later.

Chris Woakes, Ben Duckett and Moeen Ali are all contracted to Birmingham Phoenix while Mark Wood, Zak Crawley and Dan Lawrence are set to represent London Spirit. Ben Stokes and Harry Brook are with Northern Superchargers while Manchester Originals, Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire are waiting on the availability of Josh Tongue, Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow, respectively.
