The Hundred should be consigned to history and the promotional monies invested in the T20. Return the T 20 to three regional groups and consider playing each other three times possibly in two blocks. This would maximise revenue and give opportunity to to take advantage of schools holidays .

Some years ago Sir Clive Lloyd said in a changing world we must try to embrace all forms of cricket whatever the the colour of the ball This is true but surely the very grass roots of the game that being county cricket should not be stamped on to please the one day circus Without these roots no future of the game will grow Suggest the narrow minded circus fans sit in a county ground in April and feel the real beating heart of red ball cricket See it feel it Love it It’s straight from the heart

Discussions are not necessary. Just get rid of this cheap gimmick and concentrate on developing the T20 blast.

Let’s hope this is the beginning of the end for the Men’s Hundred before it bankrupts or otherwise destroys English Cricket.

I hope they keep The Hundred, or at least shift it to a proper T20 (though I like the timings of The Hundred, IPL games in particular drag for me; perhaps they could speed things up by switching ends less frequently?). I'm member at Glos, I feel deep affection for the county game, but every other country has a franchise T20 League for a reason - it brings money, eyeballs and a best-v-best in a short, exciting and easy to follow competition. You can't achieve that with the 18 counties. Many of my friends who follow cricket more casually watch The Hundred religiously but don't follow the Blast.
