The Sharks crashed out of the T20 Blast on Friday at the hands of Worcestershire and have allowed the 31-year-old to depart
Laurie Evans has moved to the Caribbean Premier League ahead of schedule following the conclusion of Sussex's T20 Blast campaign.
Last season's runners-up were beaten by eight wickets by Worcestershire in a repeat of the 2018 final on Friday at Hove.
Evans was due to link-up with St Kitts & Nevis for the competition which began on September 4 and runs until October 12, following the end of the domestic season.

But Sussex have allowed the 31-year-old to begin his spell in the CPL. He is therefore set to miss the club's final three Division Two County Championship matches against Gloucestershire, Derbyshire and Worcestershire.
After top-scoring in the 2018 Blast, Evans had spells in the franchise T20 competitions in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Though unable to hit the heights of last season, Evans struck 358 runs for the Sharks at an average of 44.75.
