Surrey youngster Jamie Smith has made the highest score by a player on first-class debut for the club in the Champion County match in Dubai.
Smith, an prodigious England Under-19 international, hit 127 during his side's first innings against the MCC at the ICC Academy.

Smith's 127 surpassed the previous record for a Surrey player on his maiden first-class appearance for the county - the 124 made by both Neville Miller and Harold Pretty in 1899.
The teenage wicketkeeper shared in a fifth-wicket partnership with Ollie Pope worth 266 before he was dismissed by Broad.
Pope, meanwhile, went on to make a majestic 251 as Surrey posted 520 all out to take a first-innings lead of 255.
