The multi-format Caribbean tour was scheduled to get underway on February and is due to comprise of three T20s, three ODIs and two Tests.
While the tour is not yet in doubt, Sri Lanka are hopeful of pushing the matches back. West Indies, meanwhile, are currently in Bangladesh for a two-Test tour.
"Considering the current situation, SLC is exploring the possibility of rescheduling the Tour of West Indies, which was scheduled to commence on 20th Feb. 2021," a statement read.
"In the meantime, Sri Lanka Cricket will continue with normal operations, adhering to the stipulated Health Protocols in all its centers."
