Sri Lanka talisman Angelo Mathews has left the tour of West Indies.
A statement confirmed the development, with the 33-year-old returning home "to attend to a family matter".
There is no news regarding when or if Mathews will return to the Caribbean for the remaining matches of the tour.
The tourists face the Windies in the second one-day international on Friday (March 12) before the series concludes on Sunday (March 14).
Two Tests are then set to get underway on March 21-25 and March 29-April 2 in Antigua.
Mathews will be required to undergo periods of quarantine upon returning to Sri Lanka and again should he wish to re-join his teammates in the West Indies.
His departure further depletes a travelling party that is already without Kusal Perera, Lahiru Kumara, Dasun Shanaka, who is not available until the 3rd ODI, and Dhanajaya de Silva who must wait until the Test series to feature.
