The 36-year-old had previously withdrawn from the draft for the competition but now becomes the latest ex-South Africa international to join a coaching team ahead of the T20 tournament
Cape Town Blitz have enlisted Hashim Amla as a batting consultant for the upcoming Mzansi Super league.
The former South Africa international had previously submitted himself for the draft ahead of the competition before opting to withdraw.
Amla will join up with the Blitz for their opening two group matches against Jozi Stars and Paarl Rocks on November 8 and 10, before departing to play for Karnataka Tuskers in the T10 League.
Following the conclusion of the franchise tournament in Abu Dhabi he will return to the Blitz ranks for the final two weeks of the MSL, starting on November 25.
He will work with the likes of captain Quinton de Kock, Liam Livingstone, Asif Ali and Moeen Ali during his spell as coach.

A scorer of over 18,000 runs during his international career across all formats, Amla will also link up with former Proteas teammate Ashwell Prince at Newlands.
"There's been a lot of comments about lack of our former national players involved in the game, so I approached him and he was very open to the idea," said Prince. "He is a unique guy. I don't think he is charging us a penny for his services which is very rare these days.
"The Blitz have quite a few exciting young players in the batting department and to have him share some of his knowledge and ideas will be invaluable.
"He is also very calm. (Assistant coach) Faiek (Davids) and myself will bring the other side. Hashim brings that calmness to the environment as well."
Gary Kirsten and Mark Boucher are also involved in the competition as head coaches of Durban Heat and Tshwane Spartans.
