Chris Nenzani resigned over the weekend ahead of his tenure coming to an end next month, with a replacement confirmed ahead of the annual general meeting
Cricket South Africa have announced Beresford Williams as their new acting president as the upheaval behind the scenes continues.
The news comes after Chris Nenzani, who had been in the post since 2013, stood down from the role over the weekend.
Nenzani was due to be replaced at the upcoming Annual General Meeting but opted to leave ahead of schedule.
Williams will fill the void until the AGM on September 5, when a long-term successor will be sought.
Additionally, acting chief-executive Dr Jacques Faul has also departed.
His tenure was due to run until September 15 - he was standing-in as CEO after the suspension of Thabang Moroe on misconduct charges - but CSA have confirmed his resignation.
A statement added: "Dr Faul has put in place a detailed transitional plan that will ensure the organisation makes a seamless transition to a new Acting CEO, that the Board will advise on shortly.
"The Board is forever grateful for the outstanding commitment and leadership that Dr Faul has made and continues to make to CSA and the game of cricket."
