The London school restricted Bloxham School to just 75 in their fourth match of the competition
An efficient bowling display from St Paul’s kept them in the hunt for second spot in The Cricketer Schools 100 tournament.
The London school restricted bottom side Bloxham School to just 75 in their fourth match of the competition out in Desert Springs, Spain.
Danyal Naqvi (2-11), Sai Bhatia (2-14) and Theo Katzenellenbogen (4-14) did the bulk of the damage late on as Bloxham’s innings subsided as they attempted to hit out.
In the run-chase, Bloxham wicketkeeper Dan Shevket did pull off a fine stumping and a run out to keep the Oxfordshire side in the hunt at 57 for 2.
But Nikhil Malik kept his nerve to see St Paul’s through to their target at a run-a-ball with 40 not out.
St Paul’s will have the chance to claim second place in the 100-ball tournament when they wrap up the week of cricket with a meeting with Canford School, who also sit on six points.
Epsom College lead the way unbeaten on eight points heading into the last day.
