Scorecard
Park View Academy made light work of the chase to open The Cricketer Schools 100 with a commanding victory over Kingswood School.
In pursuit of a modest target of 68, Park View negotiated proceedings serenely, securing victory with 17 balls and eight wickets to spare.
Under overcast skies, Alex Birbeck marshalled the chase with a steady 29 off 39, while Ethan Connolly (7), Ross Abdy (11), and Liam Cook (9*) all chipped in to get their side over the line with relative ease.
Having won the toss and elected to field, Park View made it tough for Kingswood, thanks in large to Matthew Robinson's superb bowling display. Robinson picked up figures of 4 for 3, recording 18 dot balls from his allotted 20 in a match-turning effort.
There was also a wicket apiece for Connolly, Harry Kirtley, and Jacob Jordan in a disciplined bowling exhibition.
Kingswood were 1 for 1 at the end of the first over, and struggled to recover, losing wickets at regular intervals.
Toby Eayres (11) and Freddie Stappard (21) offered the most resistance, but 67 never looked like being a troubling total.
